Onondaga County Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs
The Onondaga County Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs provides the legislative representation, conservation education, public relations, and recreational information of particular interest to the sportspeople of Onondaga County. Membership in the Federation is comprised of 33 clubs, representing over 4,000 individuals.
On Saturday, April 30th,2022 we will have our 14th annual WOMEN IN NATURE event at the Otisco Rod & Gun Club, 3015 Marietta Rd (Rte174), Marietta NY 13110.
We are planning the one-day event to host 100 women plus demonstrators from the surrounding area. The function provides each person the unique opportunity to experience a variety of outdoor recreational activities via demonstration and hands on workshops. The workshops include archery, camping, outdoor cooking, fly & cast fishing, skeet, trap & target shooting, birding, survival skills, orienteering, muzzle loading, watercolor painting, hunting basics and more.

Sportsmen’s Days – Carpenters Brook Fish Hatchery
September 2022
Event overview: - Sportsmen’s Day at Carpenter’s Brook was created as a tribute to National Hunting and Fishing Day, The local event is one of the largest celebrations of National Hunting and Fishing Day in New York State. Attendance each year averages 4,500 to 5,000 people.
A sample of the 0utdoor activities suitable for all ages includes: skeet shooting (shotgun), waterfowl identification/calling, crossbow, archery, water safety, fly fishing, jig tying, canoeing, muzzle loading/black powder shooting and trout fishing
At last year’s event there were demonstrations by woodsmen, local wildlife artists and authors, retriever and pointer dog demonstrations. Conservation Officers, Forest Rangers and Eddie Eagle made appearances
